MONEY AND ELECTIONS

Association of Election Officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AEOBiH) will implement the project entitled “Money and Elections” from April 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008.

During 20-months of project implementation, the Association of Election Officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AEOBiH) will conduct education in all 145 municipalities in BiH on importance of participation in the elections. Voters will be informed about relevant election rules, political party finance reporting and gender issues.

This education will include 13 050 election officials, youth, women, NGOs and vulnerable groups in local communities who will develop skills in obtaining information and learn how to use this information for actions that create an environment where citizens are an active and integral part of public policy development and decision-making process. Four hundred and thirty five (435) trainings will be held in 6 cycles in 145 municipalities.

This project is implemented thanks to the funds of the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF).
